Daevon Russell and Joshuah Minas Hernandez, both of Manassas, along with a 23-year-old man who remains hospitalized, are facing charges in the incident that also left a 51-year-old bystander wounded at the Sudley Road mall, county police announced.
Skyler Agley, 23, remains hospitalized but is in police custody. He is also facing charges, police said.
The investigation revealed two groups met at the mall near the food court where a fight ensued. During the encounter, multiple firearms were brandished by both groups before the altercation was taken into the parking lot.
Once in the parking lot, outside the mall, shots were exchanged between both groups before the parties dispersed.
Russell and Hernandez were detained during a traffic stop following the incident while Agley was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, police said. An uninvolved bystander, a 51-year-old man, was found at the scene and treated at an area hospital for a wound to the upper body. Both men are expected to survive.
A search of the area by a police K-9, turned up multiple firearms.
Russell and Hernandez were charged with malicious wounding, shooting at an occupied building, willfully discharging a firearm in public, carrying a firearm in public, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Agley was charged with malicious wounding, willfully discharging a firearm in a public place, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
